Fall Target Shoe Roundup

Listen. Target is straight showing OUT with their Fall new arrivals. Their shoe selection is just on point, so much so that I couldn’t just pick a few pairs to show y’all. I need you to see all the options available! So here’s a little roundup I put together after spending the morning scouring the entire site scrolling through page after page to bring you the best of the BEST!

Graphic tees, if you please

It’s no secret I have a thing for graphic tees. I just love what they do to an outfit! You can immediately add a little edge without going overboard. It’s also a fun way to make a statement. Most of my graphic tees are in support of coffee, but I once had one that said “One happy mama”. The only problem with that tee is that every time I wore it, my kids would have public meltdowns. Not even playing. So that one stays in the drawer most days.

Hands down my favorite way to style a graphic tee is with a midi skirt and sneakers. This is super on trend right now but it’s also a really comfortable combo.

I’m sharing a few graphic tees I got from Nordstrom because the first one reminds the people around me to not talk to me until I drink my coffee. Ha! The other message reminds me to keep doing what I love! Also that day dreams are put in our hearts for a reason so to keep pursuing the things that make us feel ALIVE.

Everything else I’ve styled is from Nordstrom, too! Talk about nailing the Fall vibe. These crop pants are the perfect dress up or down situation. I went with my normal size small . This leopard midi skirt is insanely soft and hugs you in all the right places. If in between sizes, I’d go up in that one. Act fast because it’s selling quickly since it’s such a great price point! This flowy midi skirt is SOOOOO flattering and just plain fun to walk in! Those slits are perfection! I went with a size 6 in those.

I am so honored to have been able to partner with Nordstrom on today’s post! Working with such quality brands was always a day dream of mine and to see it come true just blows my mind! Thanks for being here for that, friends!

Back to School Kicks and Giggles!

Is there anything in the world cuter than a baby in tennies?! Name something! I’ll wait.

I ordered a little game day onesie for Lerner from Academy Sports + Outdoors and when we went to pick up in store, we decided to check out the kids shoes and boy am I glad I did. This summer my girls did a number on their shoes and it was time for some new ones. These adidas are so cute and comfy, and believe me, they are the pickiest in the pack about their shoes!

I really enjoyed the fact that the online selection AND the in store selection of shoes and apparel were both great. It made shopping a total breeze!

The colors on the girls’ shoes are so fun and they are really easy to clean, which is a must! I’ve had my adidas for two years now and they still look good as new. I would suggest sizing down half a size in adults and kids sizing.

Thank you to Academy Sports + Outdoors for sponsoring today’s post, for helping me find theeeee cutest tennies for my girls, AND for helping get me game day ready with my new tee and hat! Linked below!

Transitional Fall Styles

If you got to see my try on this last weekend then you know that I found some GREAT fall styles from Walmart. Judging by the number of direct messages I got, y’all were just as shook as I was that these clothes are so affordable and so cute!

I will save everything in my walmart highlight in stories so you can have for future reference. Most of what I found is online but you can always check for in store pick up. Walmart has free two day shipping so I always take advantage of that!

Literally can’t believe how cute everything is! This thermal reminds me of something from Free People but it’s a fraction of the price. I would suggest sizing up for the best fit. I got the medium.

Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring today’s post!!

Walks.

Yep. That’s it. Now before you request a refund, hear me out!

When Matt and I first got married and moved into our little white house, we were so blessed to have the best parks nearby. Having walking trails with beautiful views gave us something to look forward to on our long, easy, kid-free weekends. We didn’t even realize how simple those days were. Ha!

Somebody gave us advice early on in our marriage that one of the best ways to work on communication is to go on walks. We were both really wanting to lay a good foundation, especially in the beginning, so we did just that!

We quickly discovered that whoever it was that told us that (wish we could give you a better shoutout but I literally can’t remember) was absolutely right. We’ve had by and large the most meaningful conversations of our marriage on our walks.

I know it sounds almost too simple, but if someone were to ask me what my biggest tip for communication would be, it’s walking. As women, we need to feel like we have our man’s undivided attention in order to communicate our feelings. And guys alot of times enjoy shoulder to shoulder time and feel like if they’re actively doing something, they can open up more. So now you can see why going for walks can be so monumental for your relationship!

So even if this week, you just take ten or fifteen minutes to walk, that would be a great start. It doesn’t have to be super long walks in order to be meaningful.

And while you’re out there getting your walk one, you might as well look good doing it, right? We have been partnering with Jockey to try out some of their classic pieces, and this month it’s active wear! 'I’m so glad to finally be retiring Matt’s high school football shorts and these are a great length and fit. Their tees for men are also incredible and versatile!

I couldn’t wait to try these blush leggings. The strappy detail gives them such a fun feel and they pair perfectly with this tunic top. Wearing the size small in both, but if you’re in between in the leggings, I’d size up!

Thank you for reading today’s post and thank you to Jockey for sponsoring it!
