Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018

Hi, friends!I know you've probably already heard the rumblings from the blogging world that the biggest sale of the YEAR is almost here. The first year I ever shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I felt super overwhelmed and like I was missing out at every turn. I didn't even know where to begin so I ended up disappointed when I missed out on some really great deals. My goal in this blog post is to take all the guesswork out for y'all and make this whole process simple and rewarding. So let's get started with my simplified guide to The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

Why Is This Sale a Big Deal?

Most of the time when you hear the word "sale", it means that a retailer is pushing old merchandise by marking it down. The reason this sale is different is because Nordstrom is introducing brand new merchandise for Fall 2018 at heavily discounted prices. This is kind of unheard of in this industry and that's why it's such a big deal.

When Does It Start?

Early access for the sale starts on July 12 and will run through July 19th. The only way you can shop early is if you have a Nordstrom card so now is a great time to get one. If you're not into credit cards, you can also get the Nordstrom debit card. You will receive a $40 Nordstrom Note (gift card) when you open up a card, which is pretty awesome. You also earn points all throughout the year to be used toward your purchases. I LOVE having a Nordstrom card! You can apply for yours here. On July 20th, the sale will open to the public! Historically, many of the best items from the sale will have already sold out by this point but it's still worth it to shop. The sale will go thru August 5th and after that, everything will go back to full price.

What's The Best Way To Shop?

Online is THE way to go when it comes to shopping this sale. The stores are absolutely nuts and the inventory online is abundant. You can also buy online and pick up in store if you want to get your items faster. This sale is very extensive so instead of going directly to the Nordstrom site, come here to my blog first and I will have all the best items ready to click and shop so you don't have to waist time looking through pages and pages.Nordstrom makes returns super easy so there's no risk ordering online!I'll have categories arranged by must-haves (the items that will sell out quickest), shoes, accessories, home, beauty, kids, and mens.

What Else Do I Need To Know?

I will be placing a huge order to do a try on session at home so I can show y'all ways to style the different pieces from the sale and you can see what everything looks like live in action. I prefer not to go into stores to do try on sessions because the main purpose of these is to show YOU the items and I don't want to make more work for the already overwhelmed Nordstrom employees!I will save all my try on sessions in stories as well as on my blog. I'll have a sales tab that's devoted just to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so it will be easy for you to find.Pieces to pay close attention to will be:

Boots

Coats and Jackets

Cardigans and Sweaters

Booties

Denim

I will have my first post with must-have items LIVE and ready for y'all by 6 am the first day of the sale and will continue to cover the sale throughout its duration. I will be working my tail off trying to make this sale a huge success for YOU my sweet readers! I always appreciate so so so much y'all shopping through my links, especially during a huge sale like this one. I hope I can help to make this sale super fun for y'all and please know that I will be here to answer and and all questions I can throughout the sale. Do not hesitate to reach out! Thanks so much for reading, y'all! Have a happy day!

Fourth of July Outfit Inspiration

I LOVE planning outfits for me and my fam for the fourth! Typically I try to have something festive for brunch in the morning, then a suit for the pool, and finally an outfit for watching fireworks. Maybe that sounds excessive (for sure it does!) but I just can't narrow it down!I know we still have a little bit of time between now and the fourth but to avoid that dreaded last minute dash to the store on the 3rd of July, I'm doing my best to help you plan ahead! Here are a few of the favorite styles I've found![showboutiquewidget id="724171"]And let's not forget the kiddos![showboutiquewidget id="724180"]

Incredibundles Diaper Subscription

I still remember the drowsy first days of parenthood when we went through diapers like it was our job and we seemed to run out at the most inconvenient times. You always hear people dream about the days when all their kids are out of diapers because not only is it an expensive habit to keep up, but it's also a pain to store them! Well, we had a few blissful years of enjoying a house full of potty trained people and here we are watching that season come to an end.Now that we're expecting our third baby, I honestly couldn't think of a better gift that I would want to receive than DIAPERS so I'm happy to share with you who are right in the thick of baby shower season a sure fire way to be the hero at the next one you attend!Today I'm partnering with Incredibundles.com which is a Diaper Bundle Subscription service, to show how easy it is to use their service AND to giveaway a subscription to one of you! Here's how it works:Step One: YOU (the gift giver) select the subscription length. You'll choose a 3, 6, 9, or 12 month subscription.Step Two: The Incredibundles team will send an adorable package to the recipient of your choice announcing the gift. The gift includes a sweet little teddy bear holding a certificate announcing the gift. The certificate contains all the necessary information the recipient will need to redeem their diapers. You as the gift giver have the choice of having the gift sent directly to the recipient OR for to you to present to the parents yourself.Step Three: The recipient redeems their diapers! They will get to choose the brand and size of diapers they redeem in an installment. All varieties of Pampers, Huggies, Luvs, and Members Mark are available! Then the diapers are delivered straight to their door.Talk about getting parenthood off to the right start!I had the opportunity to walk through the whole process so I could speak with confidence about the ease and convenience of redeeming a gift and it really is SO simple! Once the receiver of the gift receives their box, they create an account, then click "redeem diaper/wipes subscription". You enter the code you received in the box and you're DONE! How cool is that?!For more information on how to use Incredibundles, you can check out their website.Be sure to head to my instagram to win a three month subscription of diapers to use for yourself or gift to someone else.Huge thanks to Incredbundles for sponsoring this post and being so generous to offer a giveaway to my sweet readers!

Pink Blush Maternity

Hi, Friends!Hope y'all are having a great week. If you saw my instagram post this morning then you know I'm working on a fun giveaway with Pink Blush Maternity! This pregnancy more than any other I have struggled to find cute and affordable maternity clothes. If I found something I liked, it was normally only available in limited sizes or it was way out of my price range. Needless to say, I was SUPER excited to get an email from Pink Blush asking if I'd like to try out a few of their styles and share what I love with the people. One of the things I love about Pink Blush is that they have a super wide variety of options from jeans, shorts, and skirts, to skirts, dresses, and tops. Their selection is amazing and the fit (as you'll see from my instagram stories!) is so great. It's very rare that in the third trimester you can find something that actually makes you feel like anything but a beached whale. I know you expecting moms feel me on this one! Here are a few of my favorite things from their site:This blue maxi dress is SO comfortable! I love the racer back detail and that it has pockets. The color is so pretty for summer but if you're going to be pregnant into the fall, this is one you'll be able to throw a jacket over and just keep on wearing. It comes in five other colors or patterns and is under $50. I'm wearing a small for sizing reference. We are leaving for the beach in a few weeks so naturally I fell head over heels for this pink palm print dress. What I love most about both these dresses is that I can wear them now AND after baby comes. The stretch on the top is perfect for any body type and the ruffle wrap front is so fun! If you're planning a baby moon, especially to somewhere tropical, this one is a must. Pink Bush isn't just limited to maternity! They have non-maternity and kids/baby clothes. I get so many requests for options to wear to weddings, baby showers, and just every day so I'm just pumped to finally have a destination to send all my expecting moms.Be sure to enter to win the $75 gift certificate on my instagram page and see my stories for more info on fit and what other items I picked out.Thank you to Pink Blush for being so kind to reach out and for sponsoring this post! All opinions shared are my own.

Maternity Favorites

HI!!!!!!Ok, real talk. I had planned to write this post months ago but LIFE, y'all. Sometimes it gets crazy and the blog gets put on the back burner. Which is really ok but there's always time to swing back around to ideas I want to share, and one idea I've really wanted to share with y'all is some of my favorite maternity styles. Now we have them all in one place for easy reference! There are a few items that I'm going to start with that are total MVP's and will take you all the way from the positive pregnancy test to the delivery room. These items deserve all our admiration, wouldn't you say? Let's just go ahead and start there!Y'all have heard me rave about this dress over and over. Seriously, I'm like a broken record and I don't even care because this dress has been so good to me. I ordered a size up from what I would normally wear when I was about 12 weeks and I'm still wearing it comfortably at 31 weeks. It comes in eight colors and is a bit of a splurge at $56 but worth every penny. Promise. The ruching is so very flattering and the cut looks good on a lot of different body types. Most importantly, it makes the bump look good.[showshopthepostwidget id="3168391"]As far as other dresses go, most women can get away with wearing non-maternity dresses in the first trimester but when you really start to show, try sticking with a high waistline. Smocking is very on trend this season and that's good news for the pregnant momma because it's a very flattering look.Ok, let's talk shorts for a minute. I feel like this may be the place where most of us find our greatest challenge. I am not at all a fan of maternity shorts. I've never found a comfortable pair. So this time around, I have been on the hunt for non-maternity shorts that still feel comfortable and aren't crazy expensive. The best ones I've found are these Blank NYC denim shorts. They are literal perfection and you'd better believe I'm buying them in my normal size once I'm not pregnant. They're the best shorts I have ever owned and when you size up one size, they're perfect for a bump. I purchased mine when I was about 20 weeks along and I'm still wearing them very comfortably.[showshopthepostwidget id="3168401"]I've found a few other pair that have an elastic waist band and have been really comfy so I'll share them below.[showshopthepostwidget id="3168409"]I found some really cute maternity jeans in the beginning of my pregnancy but they sold out super fast and haven't been restocked. I didn't want to share anything that I haven't used myself so sadly we will have to skip past this part. I did just order a pair of distressed boyfriend crop jeans from GAP so I will definitely be sharing with y'all if they end up being a good buy!The kimono situation is going strong in my closet and I don't see it slowing down any time soon. My philosophy in dressing myself when pregnant is to get really good comfortable basics like these tanks (size up for the bump but they the best!) and dresses, then just add some cute accessories and a kimono and you're set. The shape of a kimono is also really flattering on a pregnant bod, which I'm not mad about at all. Here are a few of my recent favorites![showshopthepostwidget id="3168447"]I know I need to land the plane here so let me just close by saying don't underestimate the power of really great shoes and accessories to spruce up even your most basic maternity style. This is the perfect time to rack up some super fun additions to your closet because you're not limited to what you can choose from. Can I get an amen for that?!Thanks for reading, friends!
